The eighth grade students just completed the reading of After a Thousand Years. This memoir shared the historical account of Livia Bitton-Johnson and her plight during the Holocaust. Students then wrote a reflective essay about the memoir. Sixth Grade Religion

Narrative poetry is the focus of the seventh grade curriculum. They will be analyzing and annotating poetry for the poetic elements of rhyme, rhythm, and repetition. In addition, they will also note the elements of plot found in each.

Grade 7 Writing Milkweed by Jerry Spinelli
The seventh graders wrote an essay about the effects of the Holocaust on the characters of the novel, Milkweed. This was the culminating piece to a study of the Holocaust through literature. Grade 8 Religion
Eighth graders continue their study of the History of the Church. We have traveled with the early followers through the Crusades and the Inquisition.We saw the wrath of the Black Plague. Now we have arrived at the Church Renaissance of the 14th and 15th centuries.
